More townhall drivel. This is a movie, written and scripted with actors. It's not reality. Want real reality ? Take a walk through the South Bronx, Bed Stuy, East new York, impoverished rural America, the rust belt, and talk to people about makin it on their own. Sure there are some that do. And there are many more that would starve or have to resort to crime if it wasn;t for welfare, food stamps, Medicaid and other social services. A film like this can help to empower some to try harder and try and make it. But it hardly will represent the reality of being poor, without a job, without a home, and possible sick or disabled on top of it.
By the was I think Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton are good men. They are among the few men who stand up against racism and injustice these days.
