Well fellows we all need to help the new ones upgrading and getting into hf. If we all do our part they will be some good ops. and I bet we can learn from them as well on a few things. At least I know I can you will see more good come out of this than bad just wait and see I may be wrong but I dont think I am. Look at the past some of them hams didnt even have the question pool to study from the arrl handbook and the fcc rule book and that was it, And then they came out with the question pools and then the ve program just stop and think how the hams felt back then. People needs to stop crying about it and help the new upgrades in a postive way if you cant move on this is the way I see it

I don't think you'll see a problem with this. Right now, there are a lot of emotions. In the end, those who have ill feelings will realize their anger should not be directed at ALL new generation hams. The actions and words of a few should by no means be reason to pass judgement on all. And let's also remember, this CRAP was DUMPED on us by the FCC; not the "new" hams.

I think we'll be fine as far as getting along together. Ham radio as we knew it is gone but that doesn't mean we can't communicate with each other.

Well, perhaps it looks that way on the outside. But there was in the past a lot of pride associated with being a ham. Little by little, that pride has been eroded by the steady chopping of our standards. As you can see, it doesn't take much to get licesned today, as opposed to the way it was in past years. Some of these guys have invested a lot of time and dedication into a service that they believed was something special. And now that it's not so speical anymore, they are very frustrated. That frustration is compounded when they see some of their own endorsing the continued relaxing of the standards. Lots of anger right now. Give it time.

Okay I thought about it for a second and I now know we are doomed. I mean we did reelect the chimp.

WDØCT,
Yes I agree to re-elect him for a second term after seeing what he did his first term was almost criminal.Possibly one of the Dumbest moves the American voters have ever made to elect Clinton for a second term. #http://www.qrz.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/rock.gif

See; the healing has already started. They're taking out their agressions on their favorite (or least) politician. http://www.qrz.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/laugh.gif
