Send your name and callsign to the Moon
The Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA) is scheduled to launch the SELENE lunar orbiter by an H-IIA Launch Vehicle in the summer of 2007.
The major objective of the SELENE mission is to acquire scientific data to answer key questions on the Moon's origin and evolution. It is the first fully-fledged lunar exploration project since the Apollo program.
JAXA is collecting names and will have them etched on a sheet which is attached to the spacecraft. This is a worldwide campaign sponsored by JAXA in cooperation with The Planetary Society of Japan and The Planetary Society of the U.S.A.
Please send your name and message within the following letter limits before January 31, 2007:
In Japanese: Name should be within 10 characters, and the message should be within 20 characters.
In English: Name should be within 10 letters, and the message should be within 40 letters.
More information is availabe in English at:

Build your own spacecraft and send your name to the moon that way instead?

Its free and to make a good copy like i did i used MS PAINT after hitting PRTSCRN , then hit ctrl-v (Paste) and did a screen capture of it. Only way to show that.
The Moon?...small fry stuff. My name and callsign is on it's way to the planet Pluto.
Yes, I know it is no longer officially a planet. Clyde Thombaugh must still be rolling in his grave.

I hope this will help.
Make sure your Acrobat is the latest version.
Navigate thru all the links as directed. It should take you to a blank form. It will be an active pdf file wherein you will be able to add text and fill in your message and your name. It will also automatically assign you a Certificate number.
This completed form (file) can be printed if you want to keep a hard copy for display. But it cannot be saved as a file. You can still save it as a picture but it will only give you the blank form (without any of the words you just added).
Before you ""submit", and if you want to save a picture of the form, do this first:
Look for the "Picture Task" icon on the task bar above. If you don't know which one it is, just navigate your cursor #over any of the icons without "clicking" it. It should give you a name as you navigate over it.
Left click the "Picture Task" as soon as you find it and hit "Export Pictures" on the pulldown menu. Choose a folder where you want it exported. Make sure you also remember (write down) the name of the file and where you "exported" it, so you can access and "edit" it later. It will also be easier if you save it as a jpeg or jgp file.
"Submit" your file, only after you make your hard print, and after making copy of the blank form as a picture (jpg file). To view your submitted form later, follow their links.
To access the #just copied picture of the "form", open the file using Adobe Photoshop or any picture editing/graphics software. From then on, you can edit the picture and add the same words you just filled on the pdf file (form) you just submitted. Save the file. You can now attach this in your messages to show friends or post it here for us to see.
Good luck.

Look for this text:
Note: If for any reason clicking your name does not download your certificate as an Adobe PDF file, please <span style='color:blue'>Click Here</span> to download a blank certificate directly and fill in your name, date and certificate number.
Right-click on <span style='color:blue'>Click Here</span>. Select "Save As". Save to your hard drive.
Then make a note of the date, certificate number, message, and name. Open up the pdf file you saved and print as many as you want. http://www.qrz.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/cool.gif
