Alaska 10 meter Beacon AL7FS at new location

I initially activated an Alaska beacon at 2245Z on 14th of June 2006. It is now a permanent beacon and will be operational full time.

The AL7FS beacon is on the air at a new and better location with a new and better antenna (as of Dec 2, 2006).

KL7JGN, Lloyd Fuller, was instrumental in
1. arranging for the new QTH,
2. providing the new antenna and installing it,
3. providing the new power supply for the beacon.
Thank you, Lloyd!

Frequency = 28.239.2 MHz .....frequency coordinated
Antenna = half-wave vertical
Antenna GoogleEarth coordinates: 61 08'26.85"N 149 55'41.35"W

Jim, congrats on the new beacon and thanks for providing the service. I will keep an ear out for the beacon during the day and during the ARRL 10 Meter contest.

Good to see you and Lloyd getting involved in this...Lloyd was one of my elmers back in the early 80's. I truly thank him for putting up with me, i was a handful! :-)
