The Top Ten Reasons Men Prefer Guns Over Women
#10. You can trade an old 44 for a new 22.
#9. You can keep one gun at home and have another for when you're on the road.
#8. If you admire a friend's gun and tell him so, he will probably let you try it out a few times.
#7. Your primary gun doesn't mind if you keep another gun for a backup.
#6. Your gun will stay with you even if you run out of ammo.
#5. A gun doesn't take up a lot of closet space.
#4. Guns function normally every day of the month.
#3. A gun doesn't ask , "Do these new grips make me look fat?"
#2. A gun doesn't mind if you go to sleep after you use it.
And the number one reason a gun is favored over a woman....

Yep...It is just as I said..Some guys may like guns more than woman...because shooting a gun, or even thinking about shooting a gun, is for them a cheap way to get a sexual orgasm. # To each his own. #Hmmmm...Maybe that is why some kids were told that thery were a "Son of a Gun"!

Funny...I don't get "spasmodic" (so to speak) when I hit a home run while playing baseball or throw a strike when I bowl.
Why should scoring 80x80 at a silhouette meet or shooting a perfect at the indoor quals be any different?

To each his own. #I never liked baseball or bowling much either. #I guess target shooting and hunting are OK, if youy just consider them as sports like baseball or bowling. #I like hobbies, such as amateur radio...BUT THERE IS NOTHING LIKE A DAME. #
Overseas, during wartimes, the male troops had guns but no women...I think most would prefer having women and no guns if they had such a choice.
They call ships "she" because some love ships as they love women. #I dunno if many guys refer to guns with feminine pronouns? #In Spanish a pistol is EL PISTOL not La Pistola.

Actually I have met some extremely attractive women who also loved guns and enjoyed shooting. We also had several gorls on my school rifle team. Most were not into hunting but did enjoy target and plinking. A few years ago I knew this dame who was into the liberal , anti-gun thing. One day I set up in the basement some objects, i.e. balloons and tin cans for her to plink at. I handed her a pellet gun and showed her how to fire it. She hit a balloon on the first shot and was jumping up and down and smiling from ear to ear. She couldn't wait to try and hit the other ones. She has a bit more difficulty plinking the tin cans but she did good at that once she got the hang of it. Right in front of my eyes she transformed from "Miss Anti Gun" to another Annie Oakley. Another time I took her to a range and showed her how to fire a .22 rifle and how to shoot targets. Once she realized that there was more to guns than killing people her anti gun attitude changed. She came to the realizations that gun are not evil, a gun is only as good or bad as the person who uses it.
I think many people, particularly from our inner cities, who are never exposed to guns automatically envision guns in the hands of desperate criminals, murderers, uber-militia men, etc. They tend to always associate guns with the negative rather than anything positive. They also fail to understand that most sensible gun owners have great respect for guns and the power of what a gun can do.

Have a friend who's son is in the local police department.
During the day he had firing practice and was complaining to me about his wrist being a bit sore.
His dad not hearing the conversation about the firing practice enters the room and noticed his son is rubbing his wrist ,he says ,is your wrist sore ?.
He replies well yea ,
The 83 year old dad looks at him square in the eyes and says ,
" Didn't I tell you to get a girlfriend"
Perhaps men don't really need guns , after all.

This was a joke, funny, not serious, I spent 20 years in the Army around guns, and after that I spent another 22 years as a Deputy Sheriff also around guns, never once did I ever think of anything sexual about them, they were tools of my trade just as a hammer, or ladder, or an ohm meter to an radio tech.
sheesh can't anyone post anything here and it be taken at face value?

Some people say the same thing about fast cars.
But doesn't the Army refer to the devices that fire small caliber ammunition as weapons or rifles? #While I was stationed at an Army post, I saw a young private who was on a punishment tour for calling his weapon a "gun".
On the parade ground, he was required to yell this for an hour:
THIS is my rifle (pointing to his rifle on his shoulder)
THIS is my gun (pointing to his manhood)
THIS is for fighting (pointing to the rifle)
THIS is for fun (poining to his manhood)
The poor soul was out there on the parade ground for an hour. He drew quite a crowd! He never called his rifle a "gun" again.
