The Waffle award - time is running out

Only eight weeks remain for the special activity operating certificate, known as the Welcome Aussie Foundation Licensees or 'Waffle' award.

With more than 1,000 Foundation callsigns having been issued it has never been easier to qualify for this award.

The rules are simple:

For VK stations make 50 contacts with Foundation Stations while DX stations need at least 10.

Contact with the same Foundation callsign is permitted, provided this does not occur on the same day, unless on more than one frequency band.

Repeater and IRLP contacts fall within the spirit of this award as they require use of radio at each end of a contact.

Claims should include a log extract for the required contacts plus payment of $5.

The No. 1 Waffle award certificate has been earned by John Nieuwenhuizen VK5NJ, Mt Gambier. He reports having a lot of fun working new hams, particularly those who knew him from their short-wave listener activities.

Ashley Clark VK3SSB and Andre Jones VK3FSCK now VK3AJRhave also qualified for the WAFL.

Amateur Radio Victoria, which is making the operating award available, advises that the award certificate is yet to be designed, but expected to be issued soon after the Waffle award closes on Australia Day, 26 January 2007.

Too bad I don't live in Oz. The only waffle award I would qualify for is customer of the week at Waffle House. http://www.qrz.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif

Waffle award?
The biggest waffler?
Why that would be John Kerry, for his ultimate waffle statement:

"I voted FOR the 87 Billion before I voted AGAINST the 87 billion".

And not enough people voted for the Republicans on November 7th.

The democrat "power-grab" victory just goes to show how elections can be stolen by dis-enfranchising
voters and widespread election fraud. (democrat explanations for election losses) Where are the republican "fully fueled jets, filled with lawyers" ready to sue everyone, everywhere for everything? #Oh, wait, I forgot. That's a democrat/John Kerry sore-looser thing!

When democrats loose, its allways due to racism & election fraud and out come the lawyers and endless recounts. But when Republicans loose, they say...ok, we lost. The difference is glaring and people notice.

Maybe it was glaringly obvious, and you would have looked more foolish than you already do.

When democrats loose a close election, they demand "power sharing". But when they win, suddenly, all those voices crying for "power sharing" suddenly dissapear.

Hummmm..... I wonder why.

People notice.
