Hello.

This is a bunch of the less exciting units.
There are units that cover 6 meters.
The Chinese military are getting rid of all of the older hardware.
This radio is in the Vietnam era, intended to work with the R-126 series of Russian radios.

Thank you, Captain Obvious! It quite possibly may not be an advertisement (proper spelling, by the way) then. I was kinda looking for some opinions and figured some people might want to talk about it in the "Talk and Opinions" forum.

Looks like he's asking for opinions right there. He's a new poster here, so cut the guy a little slack.

Wanted, spell-checker and proof reader for Chinese to English translation. I can't tell you how much it pays because that would be a help wanted AD. 73 Joe W4CBJ

...and my opinion was that your post appeared to selling something. If you post a link with a brief description, then it's opinion. If you list out the features it looks like you're selling. I guess polite doesn't work with you. But welcome to the forum anyway. BTW, this will help when you put your foot in your mouth...

Hello.

It would appear that red star is out of everything.
This radio comes in 5 MHz splits, the ones hams would want are the 50 to 55 MHz units, but like the AN/PRC 8,9, and 10, the radios are all very much alike.
The most popular Chinese HF set is a backpack based on the AN/GRC 9 that goes for $50 complete with transistorized power supply and (normally dead) lead acid battery and charger.
A six volt gel cell pack of the correct size works fine.
Ebay has the correct hand-crank generator for several radios of this era.

I would shop around for the 50 to 55 MHz unit, you might pay a little extra but this is the band split you will want.

If you want a example of being impolite, take a look in the mirror. You ASSUMING that the post was a advertisement and then instructing the poster that he was wrong was the most impolite action in this thread.

Now, back to the post. Those Chinese rigs are neat. If you've ever seen the movie Red Dawn, the pictured rig looks pretty similar.

Seems like a couple of you guys are wearing your feelings on your sleeve these days. You all need to dry up. My "assumption" (as you call it) was a suggestion and a polite "thanks" (unlike his response). There was no offense intended.

P.S. Yes I have seen Red Dawn. Pretty cool little movie. Woverines!!
