I'm listening on 144.200 so far just white noise no pings. http://www.qrz.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/sad.gif

METEOR RADAR: The USAF Space Surveillance Radar is scanning the skies above the southern USA, pinging anything that flies overhead. This weekend, the radar's loudspeakers may be ringing with echoes from Leonid meteors. Apparently nobody else had rocks in their head. Err... on their minds. So, with that in mind, who did you QSO with? http://www.qrz.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif

Or they don't have the gear to work the rocks and don't want to try something new. http://www.qrz.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif

Sadly, I called CQ Scatter several times but no joy.
Maybe folks were on 6m ssb / cw and not 2m ssb or cw,
don't know. But, there's always next year. http://www.qrz.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif

The pings weren't as strong as in previous years but, there were some rocks out there pinging their hearts out.

I didn't notice much enhancement from the Leonids. Made a few WSJT contacts on 6m/2m and some CW on 6m. Nothing far from the norm though.

The Leonids haven't been so hot the last couple of years and this time around my 6M antenna is busted. Oh well.

Well I tried WSJT FSK441 after the peak and it was horrible. Don't know how the peak was, but a few hours after there was nothing special. Actual worse conditions than normal.
