View Full Version : MIXW HELP
Well I am running MIXW2 Ver 2.17 and it's registered to my old Call Sign W4BPK and I want to change to my new Call Sign W4BD. I have sent 3 or more emails to Jim Jaffe requesting a new REGISTERATION and have not gotten a response. When I change my personal data it either reverts to the old Call Sign or says it's a DEMO. Is there anybody out there that knows how to change things so I can run my Personal data like it should be.
I have had a few so-called QSOs with WA2VOS and every time it turned into a sales pitch for MixW so now when I see his call, I just keep spinning the big knob. This is the reason I use other programs for the digital modes. Personally, I think it is dangerously close to being a pecuniary interest on his part.

Look up Dennis UU9JDR on QRZ and send him an email with your issue and he should be able to help. He is one of the authors of MixW.

I've always worked with Nick (another author) via email, and he is always helpful and responsive. You can get his call and email at the MixW website.
Well I like HAM RADIO DELUX better than MIXW2 but HRD doesn't have the different modes that MIXW has. I run PSK and RTTY and MFSK so MIXW is one program that I can do it all with. Like i said in the orignial post my problem is the Call Sign thing.

Check with Nick, UT2UZ. He responds quickly and had me a new file within a day or day when I changed my call sign.

As Walt said. Your call sign is embedded in your registration DLL. Nick will send you another.
ALT & NGN
Well Nick has an email already as I sent it this morning. Let's hope he is better than Jim Jaffe about responding. THANKS FOR THE HELP!!!

Nick is a busy man. I haven't caught him on for the last week or so, so he may be tied up. So give him a few days, but he'll get back you.
