Think about this the next time you hear the extreme LEFT wing NPR or PBS asking for money, in addition to the tax dollars they already rip off from the public.

Extreme left NPR ?? According to you ultra conservatives Rupert Murdoch is the extreme left. The founding forefathers of America are socialist-liberals. Europe is on a par with the former Soviet Union. So NPR would be ultra uber-extreme radical subversive communism. Fortunately the vast majority of America looks at things with more sense and reason.

Not surprising. NPR's credibility ranks right up there with those periodicals you see in supermarket check-out lines.

NPR and PBS sure beat the hell out of the useless crock of s##t you get over the commercial broadcast stations... where you get the same genre of dumbed-down LCD* garbage spewed at you as you get from the supermarket tabloids.

Newton Minow phrased it appropriately, over three decades ago: "Vast Wasteland" (http://www.law.indiana.edu/fclj/pubs/v47/no2/minow.html)

*LCD= lowest common denominator

Actually NPR has lots of excellent and very informative and diverse programming. Politics, history, news, science, music, art, old classic movies lots of very interesting, and educational programming. Really good stuff. Occasionally a person on NPR may make a small mistake and/or say something that the conservatives may disagree with or not want to hear and they'll scream LIB, COMMIE, SOCIALISM, but I couldn't care less. NPR is one of the last remaining bastions decent tv and media. Call them whatever you like, as far as I am concerned they are far more credible, intellectual, diverse and sensible than Fox or any of the ultra right wing drivel that pollutes the electromagnetic spectrum and convey's nothing worthwhile.

Oddly enough, FrontPageMag, DiscoverTheNetworks, Fox News, Rush Limbaugh, and Ann Coulter, among others of similar ilk, all have been proven as being intentionally misleading and as having lied repeatedly to their audiences, yet you continue to accept their information only because it does not conflict with your beliefs. #Name-calling is usually a clue to a disreputable source, and many of the above use that tactic when "reporting" their stories.

NPR has never yet been shown, much less proven, to knowingly broadcast an untruth, yet you won't accept what is there, only because it conflicts with your beliefs. #When they make a factual mistake, they always correct the error by the next day, something else you will not ever find in the abovementioned sources. #And, you will never hear any "name-calling" on NPR.

One significant measure of a person's cognitive ability is the capacity to adjust their beliefs to the fit the factual evidence. Another measure is the usage of varied and disparate sources for one's information and the ability to recognize those sources that are unreliable.

Exactly. The elephants lost but eventually will win again. These things go in cycles and right now things have swung a different way. Our nation has always done that. My belief is that the election was not a vote for liberalism but a vote against right-wing extremism and when the dems go too far left they’ll get the boot as well and the cycle restarts. Then the dems will win again, then the gop, then the dems…etc.

What did you guys tell us all those years? Yeah, get over it.

What appalls me is the folks that were making fun of the “lefties” for griping about losing elections in the past are proving to be just as whiny and pathetic. Now, according to the wing-nuts the electorate that earlier was smart enough to vote in the Bushies and crew are now too stupid, drugged, cowardly, or hypnotized to “stay the course” with the right.

Geez guys, quit embarrassing yourselves. Suck it up. Walk it off. ESD is the only one I have any respect for ‘cause he’s not demeaning himself or his message with useless rhetoric and pathetic posts. He’s busy getting ready for the next round. He’s fighting the good fight. I often disagree with his views, but respect the hell out of him for how he’s handling himself.

And lest we forget, we’re Americans first.

Aren’t we?

Actually they're much worse. They haven't even waited for them to be sworn-in and they're demanding that they get us out of Iraq after cussin' us for just that.

Are we there yet? Are we there yet? Are we there yet?

Quoting FrontPage to cast excrement at NPR?? That's like quoting Charles Manson to debate William F. Buckley. You've lost before you've begun. MIND YOU, 2WH is questioning MSNBC as a source! Ne0-con Hypocrisy knows no bounds.
