View Full Version : The New Rush L.
Rush's has a new and unimpeachable belief in all polls. This since all the previous polls were suspect but were corrrect. The man is more confused every day.

He's seen the light. Rush is a born-again Human Being. Of course, if he crosses over into the light, as a Democrat he will have to grow a heart too. http://www.qrz.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif

I tried to do that a few weeks ago here on QRZ. I really made an attempt to become a liberal. I felt like the Grinch, with a heart three sizes too small, but I found that when my heart started growing, I had chest pains, so I quickly went and read some conservative websites, like the NRA, etc, and my chest pains subsided. I guess I am doomed to be a heartless conservative for eternity.

Honestly, I think Rush believed in one thing and one thing only......Ratings.
When the 'EIB' came to him and told him because of what he was doing that they were starting to slip, and revenue was falling on advertising, he did what he had to do to regain listeners.
You'd be surprised how often a Dee Jay (and I'm sorry, thats all I think of him as, is a talk show DJ) changes thier mind if it means higher ratings. He's probably getting part of his paycheck via whatever advertising revenue they get. The numbers start to not look as good and suddenly the tunes change.
Had the Reps won, he'd be singing the same tune. But since they didn't, he now has to cater to what the voters wanted, and play to that crowd. You have to play to the majority to keep those dollars rolling in.
I wouldn't be surprised either if hes working on getting an XM or Sirious gig-and for that he's going to have to prove hes got the ratings and the loyalty to get people to pony up $14.95 a month to listen to him.
The bottom line is, though he's an obnoxious loudmouth (in my opinion), first of all he's a businessman, and the businessman looks at the bottom line.

Oh, he's got plenty if not more listeners now that the Dems are in control. This is exactly what he needs to up his ratings.
As to being a talk show DJ, well, your correct. Lest we forget, he, Shawn Hannity and the now defunct Air America are all entertainers. Just like us here.

That wouldn't be a good john to encounter at a bar after having a few too many.
Though suddenly being hit in the face by a stream of water like that would probably sober you up pretty quick, or at least make you wonder....
