It all sounded fairly over reactive until it was mentioned that when they were asked to stop they physically threatened the flight attendant.
When will people get it, threatening a person, especially in the workplace is never the best option.

Hello.
I remember when Southwest was the love airline.
Gogo red miniskirts and halter tops.
Now I do agree that perhaps the threats might put this in another class but I am a member of the mile high club.

So you wouldn't mind if you were stuck sitting next to a couple 5 miles up in the sky with your kids next to you as the couple groped and fondled each other?
wow.
I wouldn't mind as long as I could critique the performance. http://www.qrz.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif

This sounds like fun.
Yes this is a way to run an airline, for those of you old enough to remember that commerical.

also the airlines to make some much needed money ?

Well if they would bring back inflight movies and free peanuts and snacks and actual meals, maybe the play time would stop.
But overly sexual activity in such a closed space would be a no-no for me. Regardless if I could critique.

...ya know, this same scenerio COULD happen in an airport when flights are delayed.
Then if you dont wanna be nearby, you can go walking away 15 - 50 feet and still hear the announcement of when to board your flight...or go be a snitch and call security...!! http://www.qrz.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif

Latin airlines are so much relaxed compared to any flight that has a stop or a path over US territory.

Not.
At some point, we as a society are going to have to regain some of our dignity and act like (even if we're not) civilized people. It seems we have become immune to shock. Everything is ok under the right of freedom of expression. Having sexual relations in a public place, regardless of the presence of children shows a clear lack of respect for others.

The in-flight movie was "Debbie Does Everybody". #The rest is history and the desire for the Mile High Certificate. If it were two old codgers, the crime would have been "assault with a DEAD weapon.

This would never have happened if they had chosen the proper airline.
FLY UNITED
Just ask the ducks.
Having been a pilot now for over 30 years, I can say with absolute certainty it's impossible to become a Mile High member in a Cessna 150, 152, and 172.
...at least for my tall frame, anyway. ;>
Nearly every case I was privy to while on the Grand Jury had additional trumped-up charges on top of the actual charges. If the couple had cross words at all when talking to the flight attendant, then I am sure they were likely to be called "threatening".

I'm a member, but only on commercial aircraft.
Most fun while single and with someone who was a complete stranger prior to the flight. Nighttime flight, get a blanket.
No matter where the flight originates or lands, always say you actually live in the opposite town from the one you actually live in; e.g., if flying from NY to L.A., and you're from NY, say you're from L.A. -- and vice-versa. Much more difficult to ever be found this way. http://www.qrz.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif

I took flying lessons in a Cessna 150 when I was in high school, back when pteradactyls shared the airspace. Now I can't even SIT in a 152 comfortably, much less think about flying one or even joining the Mile High Club in one.
If I ever decide to try for membership, someone ELSE will be doing the flying.
Why didn't those folks think of taking it to one of the restrooms?

I bet the guy next to her was upset because she didn't offer herself to him, first; I guess the courtesy of sharing of a stick of gum wasn't enough.

The airline was not Delta, it was Freedom Airways, a regional Northeast commuter airline. http://www.qrz.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif Give Delta a break, they have more than enough troubles. Sad, because given a choice between another airline or driving, I'll drive. Delta has always treated me well.

I dont see that it should be treated so seriously, yes they should face charges for both threatening behaviour & for having sex in public but do not see why it should be a federal case .
the toilets must have been full at the time so they should have waited till there was a vacancy .
