Well, you can call me a lite extra, or you can call me an extra lite, just don't call me late for dinner!

Whooohooo.... passed my element exam 4 this morning!

14 months ago I purchased a SWL receiver. 3 months later I decided that I was again interested in amateur radio after having been away for 36 years. A month later I had my general ticket. That was the end of January. I'd set a goal of having my extra by the end of the summer.

Well, a few months late, but it still feels good. http://www.qrz.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif

I hope the education continues, and I know I'm not going to miss the allocation chart!

Congratulations.

You're still gonna need the allocation chart to know where the CW sub bands are and aren't.

Especially on 40m, it can be quite deceiving...

'NGN - good going. It's good not having to worry about where in the bands you operate. http://www.qrz.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif

'QFY - get 'er! If you still have Morse down, you'll make it no sweat.
