The Collegiate QSO Party is scheduled for September 21-22, 2002 (1200 UTC Sep. 21 to 0400 Sep. #22). #Sponsored by the Collegiate Amateur Radio Association, the purpose of the Collegiate QSO Party is to encourage activity at and among collegiate ham radio clubs, and to increase awareness of collegiate Amateur Radio among the general ham radio community.
Bonus points are available to QSO party participants for contacting collegiate stations, QRP operation, and for contacting a CARA station. #Collegiate stations can earn bonus points by getting a school administrator on the air during the event. Collegiate QSO Party rules are available on the CARA web at www.collegiatehams.com. QSO party operations are limited to the HF bands (non-WARC).
