Quote[/b] ]Huge amounts of a red wine extract seemed to help obese mice eat a high-fat diet and still live a long and healthy life, suggests a new study that some experts are calling "landmark" research.

The big question is, can it work the same magic in humans?

Scientists say it's far too early to start swilling barrels of red wine. But they are calling the latest research promising and even "spectacular."

Hmmm... haven't the people in Free err.. France known this for centuries??

If that is the case, there should not be any shortage of amateur radio operators in the near or distant future

Now Greg, that wouldn't be yet another personal attack from another God-fearing neo-con. I suggest that you do some reading of that Book that you're always mentioning. You apparently missed the part about "do unto others..."

Unfortunately, it does nothing for high blood pressure, arthritis and cancer rates in
general. Keep your weight your down, walk and eat sensibly. The reality is, good life style habits end up doing much more you than persuing simple fixes.

With all the stuff I do to prevent heart disease and other fatal things, I should either live forever or be the best preserved corpse in the burial ground.

I stopped at a liquor store on the way home yesterday and bought a jug of Rossi's finest $4 Burgundy. Served at room temperature, the small amount I had was pretty good. I think I'll go for the $8 two-gallon jug next time.

I wonder what this will do to my cholesterol? Mine is fairly low to start with, but Mayo Clinic recommends that people with diabetes receive medication to lower it further. So my overall cholesterol is 75. I hope it doesn't raise it.
