I own a VX-7RB handheld tri-band.

I have read the manual up and down and no place does it tell you how to delete a single memory from this radio!!

It tells you how you and delete (remove) Group Memories, but not a single one.

I want to be able to delete a memory which I have created for a local repater. #This memory would contain the repater name, offset info, etc. #I know that I can change it, but I want to delete the whole thing. As an example, memory channel # 5. Delete 5 and that is that!

Anyone know how to do this?

Thanks!

I ran into the same difficulty. #I guess the easy answer is just save something over the memory location you want to get rid of.

The long answer is to use the programming software and cable. #You still can't just delete a memory entry (although it seems like you should be able to.) #But you can move things arround and re order them however you like. #So what I did was cut and pasted all the dud memories I had saved one at a time into a single location, then programmed something good over the top of that location.

Kind of a kludge, but it worked.

It's a nice radio, but I don't know if I'll ever figure out all the options and features...

Hello.

I had to read the Japanese site to find this.
Go to memory group and then the channel you want.
Depress Mon/F and this for 2 seconds and release.
Now depress V/M for a moment and the channel will be released from the memory group.
