I HAVE PURCHASED A TS2000 AND DONE THE MARS MOD BUT THE AUTO TUNER IS NOT TUNING OUT OF HAM BAND.. DOES ANYONE HAVE INFO ON A MOD TO GET TUNER TO TUNE OUT OF BAND.

I sort of doubt that you'd be able to modify the internal tuner much beyond the edges of the ham bands. That would take a lot more circuitry than the cabinet could safely contain.
Why not build a resonant antenna, or use an external tuner (manually operated, probably)?

I have a TS2000X and had no problems with MARS frequencies using a variety of antennas including a 40M dipole, two different G5RV dipoles and three different multiband verticals. http://www.qrz.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif

frequency 7457.10 wont tune but just past 7300 it does.. some other places in band wont also...my ts440 had problems in some of the out of frequencies on the g5rv also.. i just ordered the mfj989d tuner should not have any problems after getting that in line... thanks for the responses... frank n5mdv/afa6fw rgn 6 usafmars

Sounds like your antenna is too far off on that frequency. The internal tuners have limited impedance matching ranges, often on the order of 20-150 or 300 ohms. That's not much.
Good luck.

But better than nothing...
Mine can tune out of band. so i think its your antenna is too far out for the tuner to do it.
10:1 SWR etc etc...

ROGER ROGER:
The only Band have trouble was way out of g5rv range I guess but I solved the problem untill antennas cut to fit are built... bought mfj989d roller inductor tuner... no problem now....! 73s thanks for all the comments...

Mine has the same mod and the tuner works just fine just like it is suppossed to. Really no kidding it works. I just bought a new B-2000 and the cover hasn't been off it. My TS-2000 is one of the first ones and maybe that is why mine tunes out of band.
