9A60, CROATIA (Special Event). Members of the Amateur Radio Club Koprivnica
(9A8K) will be active with the special anniversary callsign 9A60K to
celebrate the 60th anniversary of the ARC Koprivnica. This special callsign
will be in use between January 10th and December 31st. Also, to celebrate
this 60th event of the radio club of Koprivnica, the members will issue
the "Koprivnica City Award" for the contacts with radio amateurs from the
City of Koprivnica. The QSL and Award Manager for this activity is Kresimir,

SPECIAL EVENT. Look for the Balkan Contest Club (LZ1KZA) to use the
special callsign LZ170VL from now until December 31st. Activity is to
celebrate the 170th anniversary of the Bulgarian national hero Vasil

LX, LUXEMBURG (Special Event). Members of the Réseau Luxembourgeois des
Amateurs d’Ondes Courtes (RL - Luxemburg Amateur Radio Society) will
activate three special event stations during the year of 2007. Activity
is to celebrate Luxemburg being the European's Capital of Culture this year.
Look for the following stations to be activated by several operators:
LX2007L (district Luxemburg), LX2007G (district Grevenmacher) and LX2007D
(district Diekirch). QSOs will be confirmed automatically via the QSL
bureau. A special award is issued as well. An online log will be available

SPECIAL EVENT. Members of the Torbay Amateur Radio Society (TARS) will be
active as GB60TR throughout the year of 2007. Activity is to celebrate
the TARS Diamond Jubilee. Their society was founded on February 24th, 1947.
Look for them to be active all day long on the 24th, from the TARS HQ, in
Newton Abbot, Devon. QSL via G3LHJ, direct or by the bureau.

until June 26th. Activity is to celebrate the 300th anniversary of the
birth of Carl Linnaeus (1707-1778), the famous botanist, physician and

& LZ5A) will activate the special event callsign LZ129LO from March 1-31st,
to commemorate 129th anniversary of the "Liberation of Bulgaria from Ottoman
yoke by Russia." The special station LZ129LO counts 10 points towards the

SPECIAL EVENT. To commemorate the 95th anniversary of the sinking of the
Titanic, ham radio operators worldwide will participate in a special event
broadcast originating from the TITANIC Museum Attraction (in Branson,
Missouri) beginning at 8 a.m., Saturday, April 14th, and concluding at
7p.m., Sunday, April 15th. Members of the Nixa Amateur Radio Club will
transmit the news of the anniversary using the special event callsign WØS.
Operators from Nixa, Missouri, have permission from the FCC to broadcast
using this special callsign which stands for "White Star," the name of
the company that built the Titanic. The worldwide broadcast will take
place to honor the radio broadcasters working aboard the Titanic on the
night she sank. ADDED NOTE: A UK group is also expected to be active.
