Works great and looks good too. The antenna, not me. http://www.qrz.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif #Out performs the PVC radome and copper model as well. http://www.qrz.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/cool.gif Very low SWR accross both bands and a very flat take-off.

Good work ! Always like to see the results of someones project here ! What bands does it cover? You said "both bands". Just curious.

Sorry, 2m/440. This antenna started with the Aug 06 QST mag article of the sleeved dipole inside PVC. Mine's a little different. #This finished one is actually a very good performer for a 1/2 wave OCF dipole 2.14 dB 2m and 2.7 on 440. Total length including mounting stub is 48". The 3/4" aluminum elements and near center feed give it high performance in a compact antenna. #It outperforms my 5/8 ground plane in practical terms.
