Are the trees getting any color in your area yet. My older sister took her digital camera out through the fire lane near where I used to live in northwest Wisconsin and posted a slug of pictures on our family website.

Some of the shots would easily be good enough for a calendar or greeting card.

Locally the leaves are just starting to turn colors. There are a few spots along the bluffs and hills that are truly breathtaking.

The last few mornings on my way home from work I really wished I had a camera along to shoot some of what I’ve seen.

One morning there was a bit of fog hanging high in the trees but the sun was shining under it making the houses and trees bright.

Normally I don’t notice the houses on that stretch of street but that morning, highlighted by the sun, with the puffy white vapor hanging over head, and the maples and aspens bright red and yellow along with the blue spruce and other still green trees, it was truly beautiful.

So far this has been a good year for fall foliage color around here. The last several years the leaves just turned a sort of olive drab then fell off. No bright colors like I remember from my youth.

Not yet in Texas, unless you mean brown. It hit 100 again yesterday and is in the 90's today. I'm so sick of summer WX I could scream.

Gotta link for those pix? Sounds really purdy!

Sorry, can’t link to them its on a family site and you have to be an invited member. {part of our family} tried to link to photos there before and it didn’t work.

When I lived up there it was no problem to come down here on a weekend if I had enough money in my wallet after paying my weekly/monthly bills.

I’d show up with a 12 pack under each arm saying “Where’s the party”. Now days it’s about all I can do to manage to drive to work and back.

This getting old and being a ‘responsible adult’ thing sux more and more each year.
