This is a brand new Celestron high quality low power microscope designed for inspection of very small items, biological dissection, QA inspection and assembly and repair of very small micro electronics assemblies.
I want to sell it to help with the ham gear I am purchasing. I bought this ironically before the Ham bug bit about a month ago after being QRT for awhile, so there is almost 10-11 months left on the warranty.
You can look the model up on the Internet but the power is a choice of either 20 X or 40X and is switchable.
It is a true stereo microscope and has enough power range to be used for many different purposes.
This microscope has all the bells and whistles. You can get cheaper scopes without halogen illumination, but having built in top and bottom illumination helps, especially when it can ge controlled simultaneously on top and bottom.
The quality of the optics is superb.
There is absolutely nothing wrong with it and I will arrange to have warranty coverage performed if it is defective in anyway.
If you or you have someone that might think they want to get into microscopy, this type of scope is much better than the cheap high power scopes. The depth of field is amazing and the views spectacular. You can even photograph with a digital camera by holding the lens very close and steady to the eyepiece.
