Quote[/b] ]16) You have to believe that providing health care to all Iraqis is sound government policy but providing health care to all Americans is socialism personified.

Pretty well sums up the double standards.
They talked about Hillary's cattle trade, but Neal Bush had a dandy of
a trade. (http://www.cnn.com/2004/ALLPOLITICS/01/01/elec04.neil.bush.ap/)

Yep, pretty much. Then there's:
Quote[/b] ]19) You have to believe that Saddam was a good guy when Reagan armed him, a bad guy when Bush's daddy made war on him, a good guy when Cheney was doing business with him, and a bad guy when Bush needed a we-can't-find-Bin-Laden diversion.
AND:
Quote[/b] ]20) You believe that government should restrict itself to just the powers named in the Constitution, which includes banning gay marriages and censoring the internet.
Oh, and let's not forget warrantless wiretapping. http://www.qrz.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/cool.gif
Wow, over a day and no crybaby commie pinko America-hater rants.
Makes you think they have their own little chatroom somewhere and they are working on talking points.....

They left one out. When a Democrat refuses to answer a question, they are hiding something. When a Republican refuses to answer a question , they are protecting national security.

The cons I have heard about want out of prison. This must be a new connotation of the slang "cons." Haven't heard this one before. I do hear (or rather, read) "convo" for conversation. Seems like to should represent "convoy." Something with an "o" in it following the "v."
I'm having a hard time with the new English. Maybe making Spanish our national language IS a good idea.

Yep and which posts to respond to and which to ignore. The truth hurts, but then we have 3XR world with the Cheshire cat and all sorts of squirrelly things running around ranting at every problem - uh, make that LIB problem. http://www.qrz.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif

Boy! The other Bush brother just keeps on keepin' on.
Well, in my formative years, the general concensus on republicans was that they were decent people, but they had a lot of hypocritical views, like being firm believers in the Bible that says "though shalt not kill", while being firm supporters of the death penalty. Heck, I'm even in agreement with the Pope on that one! ( and I don't mean SY).
There's more than a little hypocrisy on the Democrat side, too, but I think it is several orders of magnitude lower, although the position on abortion is well up the scale.

Instead of calling them neo-cons, which is a polite way of saying "fascist", I think I will hereafter refer to that party as "the Republican'ts".
Can't find Bin Laden
Can't pass an illegal immigration bill
Can't pass House reform legislation
Can't do anything that doesn't help re-election
etc.
They're only RepubliCANs when they are giving tax breaks to billionaires, passing anti-gay laws, passing obscene porkbarrell projects, or trying to keep brain dead Americans on life support.
