worked on my laser system last light and got it working, it usues a gutted laser pen (abt 2-3 mw of power) and modulated with AM MCW using a transformer (Very primitive right now) but the reciever is a phototransistor circiut which is very cool, i can go around the house a listen to all the lights and LED dispay panels.... gotta make the right encasements and shield the RX from ambient light and rig up lens system and improver the TX'er

I'll get some pics up here but i;; have to use my cellphone because my camera is broke http://www.qrz.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/sad.gif .... anyways, it was really cool to TX cw across the room with a laser, im definatly going to try to se how far i can go, i'll update with my progress

ok, Ill get pics up soon but i just finished a rough version of the aiming system for the TX, it uses dorr hinges and loading springs with screws that push in and out for the Elevation and Azumith adjustements. not the smothest system but it works, next is to get the red dot scope from my paintball marker on the laser. also I want to rebuild the aiming system using metal rather than wood so I can use the screw tapping set at my job to really make it nice... Ill keep you updated, BTW if your in my area and have a system or want to build one and SKED, look me up and send me an e-mail

Once I find the right box in the garage (we moved) I plan on trying to AM an LED beam and detect it with the other half of the system. No practical purpose, just to show the kids it can be done.

its alot of fun, i got the tx aimer built, pretty rough but works, gotta do the same for rx and then build a anoter station hihi, its great to play with because theres so much to be done, i plane on builing a system for data, led or laser and see how fast i can make the two computers talk, my only problem is that i just started my senior year at CHS so im taking alot of science and math courses and have a good deal of homework.... slowly ill get it done, hihi,

if anyone is interested in this project, PM me....
