I'm surprised, Gentlemen, that nobody has commented on this thread.
It seems that our Muslim friends, are, on entering aircraft, #causing concern to the rest of the passengers by deliberately looking, and acting suspiciously.
Flight 042 Northwest, had 12 passengers removed from this aircraft , on it's return to Schipol.
A Monarch Air flight from Malaga had two individuals removed for the same reason, after a "mutiny" by the rest of the Passengers.

12 seconds? I downloaded 12 minutes of communication between Schipol tower, 2 Dutch F16's and the pilot of 042.

If you had less than that , then I'm thinking censorship.

It may have been pulled but I have a saved copy. You are right, while I didn't time it there is no doubt it would be timed in minutes and not seconds. There is, however, no indication in the recording what the exact problem was. There were many references to "unknown security reasons" for turning back.
