Has Any One Wondered.....

* How most of the folks who hate our President and want the morse code requirement dropped are the same folks ?

* How a radio frequency will be quiet until you are going to use it ?

* How an appliance ( car / mower / radio / etc ) will work great until just after the warranty expires ?

* How those folks who use the local 2 meter repeater as they drive to work have answers to ALL the worlds problems ?

* How, when you drive down the highway, you see all the other drivers errors, yet can not see your own ?

* How, when you have lost something and DO find it, it is always in the LAST place you looked ?

You have been watching or listening to way too much Andy Rooney; you are beginning to sound just like him. Next your eyebrows will start to take over your face and it will take a weedeater to trim your earhair.

...you keep hearing from these folks that " this country allows folks to talk on HF without learning morse code " why do not these folks just move to that country and talk all they want ...No one is stopping them from leaving. !!

....and these eternal pessimists who say " this country ( insert name of foreign country here ) is run a lot better than things are being run in the USA "...why do not they just move to that great & fabulous place , no one here will miss you ? !!

So does this one. It's called CB.

Life always looks better at 65 MPH or 45 RPM.

Quote[/b] ] * How, when you drive down the highway, you see all the other drivers errors, yet can not see your own ?
You're reacting to a 'threat' to your space - especially when you get cut off. Not that everybody does that once in awhile. OTOH, it could just be a human thing. Sounds a lot like my first wife during the divorce. ;)

Quote[/b] ] * How, when you have lost something and DO find it, it is always in the LAST place you looked ?
Could it be because you stop looking when you find it?

It's because people who love Bush AND the code test (though not necessarily code itself) are both frightened of possibly having to share their world with the great unwashed. Some of us do not believe that the threats are real. However, I fear the loss of the code tests more than I fear that we will be invaded by Iraq.

BTW, Robert, let us all know the EXACT DATE that your post got reset. Reason I ask this is because your "Hz" according to the forum calculator is way off. It is calculating your post frequency based on your member "joined date", and thus claims you are a .04 hz poster. Well, given that last I looked you already have 72 posts, and I'm guessing it was reset within the past 5 days, this means you are posting AT LEAST at a 14 hz frequency, putting you in the VHF-P category, so it appears that while you may no longer lead the way in total volume, you can claim the high ground on post frequency. http://www.qrz.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif

http://www.qrz.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif the average HF conversation ( on just about any band ) consists of a group of folks who have apparently the most fun saying stupid things to accept the dumbest of the group ? ...and that on certain frequencies you hear some one ( no I D ) testing a microphone endlessly while saying sentences like " the quick brown fox jumped over the lazy dog " over and over and over ?

Is amateur radio dumbing itself down to accept the lowest possible operator ?

Yep, and this is on the supposed " highly educated EXTRA / ADVANCED / GENERAL frequencies " ( sorry to all the brilliant technicians, you aint to blame for this one ) which USED to have folks discussing their body functions, but now have dropped their day-to-day conversations to the levels mentioned and even lower ( if that IS possible ) .

No wonder the rest of the world only likes Americans for their money .

From my observation and the amount of mistakes in your postings I would not consider you a fast typist, or a slow typist, but a half fast typist.

Walmart must have public address system messages in languages other than in English to alert their employees that INS has pulled into the parking lot.

Been there, had that, it does beat the American stuff.

A British soldier I met whiles stationed overseas told me that American Budwieser was like having sexual relations on the seashore.. both are f**king close to water!

a lot of folks will come here to qrz...make a post or two, then leave REAL FAST. Why leave in such a hurry ?

I guess they dont want to see the replies to their post until a few hours ( if that fast ) or a day or two later.

It aint like a arm and a clenched fist is going to grab you by the neck through the computer monitor and drag you into the monitor case.

Just make you post and hang around a while...it wont hurt you. Read a few more threads / posts and relax. Take some stress out of your life...relax and enjoy your visit here on qrz.

You know who you are.

Just slow down http://www.qrz.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif
