View Full Version : Approval Rating Up
USA TODAY (http://www.usatoday.com/news/washington/2006-08-21-bush-approval-rating_x.htm?csp=34)
Quote[/b] ]Now 42% of Americans say they approve of the job Bush is doing as president, up 5 points since early this month. His approval rating on handling terrorism is 55%, the highest in more than a year.
Quote[/b] ]"The arrests reminded people that terrorists were out there, and this is his strong suit," says political scientist Gary Jacobson of the University of California, San Diego. Now, as in 2002 and 2004, Bush and GOP congressional candidates argue that they can be better trusted to combat terrorism.
It seemed like Clinton never remined us of those terrorists. I am so glad people are waking up and realizing we need to do what the terrorists want and support Bush and the Republicans this fall. Without strong Republican support in Congress, Bush will fall, and we may never remember what a terror threat is again.

I really don't care who gets in office. All I need to know for a change is that the person has 'Big Testicles' instead of these approval seeking whimps that cater to the whimpy kitty cats crying about everything. I really don't care what the world thinks of the U.S. as long as we don't start conflicts and then run away. Hit hard, hit frequently and beat the bad guy up so he won't try anything again. Oh well, there I go making folks mad again.

This is due to the increasing sunspot numbers.

Just like a romp in an expensive amusement park, we will eventually run out of money, time, and grow weary.
Numbers are up, huh? #Sort of like the slight rise in temperature detected on board the sinking Titanic... might have been encouraging, were it not caused by the fires below.
Plenty of counter-terrorism measures, but most are halfhearted and half-assed, according to non-political professionals. #A real problem when one considers the dramatically increased threat resulting from disastrously poor political decisions. #Net effect... frightening vulnerability. #All thanks to W. #Dream on, ye 33% (the other stats are BS).

I know what you mean. People with big terror ties are the boldest. Like having bin Laden money laundered into your corporation would be most cool. Is that what you mean?
I am not sure we will know about the details of the presidential candidate's anatomy unless they are Democrat. The news won't cover the details of the Republican.

Who cares its a mute point to say the least. He is a lame duck. I want a president Like Abraham Lincoln. Then see the left get their drawers in a bunch. Read what he did to reporters and the ones who protested the war. Or the likes of Teddy roosvelt. Now there is some leadership.

Yeah, I found that article disgusting.
They arrest a bunch of Muslims and accuse them of plotting to blow up airliners, and suddenly, everything the neocons have conned is OK? Bush's war becomes a Holy Crusade.
I'm afraid I'm one of those Democrats who believe that the party will find some way to blow this election, too. Any whiff that the GOP is going to be more effective than the Democrats at controlling these foreign devils, and the GOP will win. Worse yet, if the Democrats gain control and the GOP can blame them for leaving Iraq too soon, it will be a bloodbath. Bush will be a misunderstood hero to future generations. We'll elect the rest of his family, one at a time to the White House. The country will return to 1872.

I have a suggestion for your avatar: Just take the flag of the USA, remove the blue field and stars and replace it with a white field and the blue star of David that is on the Israeli flag. (forget the blue bars)
I often thought of having some of these described flags on bumper stickers with the caption: This is how our main problem looks symbolically.

I could not agree more. To say a little more is to say "high crimes".
The part I do not understand is the "lame duckie" bit. Are you saying that Bill Clinton could have run for president in 2000 if he had wanted to? I mean, he was impeached and he was a lame duck president, I thought. Maybe you have more information on this development I was not aware about.

YES! Either of them would be perfect presidents today. Both demonstrated excellent leadership qualities. I hope they can't see what is going on, they would be appalled.

----- If I become President of these United States of America, within the first 100 days I shall see to it, that the requirements to become an amateur radio operator become tougher than they have been since the early 1990 s ( waaay back in the 20 th century ).
the FCC will be told to "get to work on enforcing the rules / regulations, or go to flipping burgers " . It will be a case of " either go by the letter of the law, or dont transmit at all ". The 13 - 20 wpm morse code requirements WILL return, the TECHNICIAN class eliminated, folks will be told to " either learn morse code, or leave ".
Special accomodations CAN be allowed for special situations on a "case-by-case " basis, for those handicapped and wanting to talk on HF frequencies. No " rubber stamping " of special accomodations , or memorizing the questions. The FCC will have the military efficientcy (*sp) of the French army to assist them in enforcing the rules/regulations . http://www.qrz.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif
{ you knew there HAD to be a catch somewhere , didnt ya ? }
(( some would say the FCC is already utilizing the French army to enforce the rules, so what would be the change ? )) http://www.qrz.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/sad.gif
