Because no one wants to send troops, and the nations that will are sending very, very few.

Hey, their God's chosen people. Let God take care of 'em.

Most of the peacekeepers are waiting for thier probation officer to give clearance to leave their home country.

Me thinks he thinks somebody said something about Jews. Anything but praise said about Jews sets him off.

He called me Mel a while back.

Jews are wonderful. Let us make Israel a state. Probably be cheaper than foreign aid.

There are probably some countries that can't spare any right now.

Like the USA, for example. Ours are a bit tied up right now.

I've always found it funny how all of these countries hate us, but with a major disaster, clamity, etc, we're always the first one they call, and we're chastised if we don't help.

Damned if we do, damned if we don't.

Well, you know - it's not a 'Nam vet who's in charge.

The only one in that administration I had any respect for was Colin Powell. He was the only one of that bunch who suggested that we make sure of what the hell we were doing before going in there. I was not the least bit surprised when he "resigned". What I found odd about the whole thing was that he would work for a National Guard deserter to begin with.
