I wonder what would happen if someone actually put 25KW into one of those thingamabobs. Somehow a Tesla coil display comes to mind, Mythbusters?

i have seen the 25kw antennas, somehow I dont think it can take 25kw for more than .00001 second. When the whip is that thin at the top I bet it wont take more than 2.5kw

I would hate to be within 20 feet of any corona! You'd have to have a 3" ball bearing for a static ball!!
LOL!

Will it work with my ten-speed Raleigh, or will I have to peddle faster and harder???

Does that show (the plates notwithstanding) that "CB'ers" are even more weirder than many hams? http://www.qrz.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif

I have a 50,000 watt microphone for sale for $2800 bucks. And a six thousand amp soldering gun for only $3,000. I need the dough - point me at the nearest CBer.

There are no driven or "hot" elements on any magmounts.

Hey guys, you think the 25,000 watt antenna was funny? I was listening to a 2 meter repeater in Florida not too long ago and a ham said he had built a 9dB gain "J" pole. Of course I thought he was kidding but no he wasn't. When I told him that a 9 dB J pole is impossible, he referred to me as being "negative." When I asked him how he tested the antenna, he just stated that it "sounded more powerfull". Again, nope, I am not kidding you.. 73 Joe W4CBJ

Maybe the J-Pole DID have 9 dB gain. Over the rubber duck he was using! Or perhaps over no antenna at all. (Or a dead short.) http://www.qrz.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif

You SHOULD have asked him if that was 9 dBi or 9 dBd!
