It's Saturday, just about 1300Z and I've got an incredible signal on 14.260, very clear, sounds Indian or Asian of some sort. Anyone else listening?

I hear it, sounds like music. Not so strong for me here in Maryland. About S8 on the meter, a little QSB.

Sort of sounds like music from a 70's low budget kung fu movie http://www.qrz.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif

Gone here now too. I was hoping to catch a station ID or something, but it was just that crazy music.

They (or another Asian station) were a little above 14.310 several weeks ago...I posted something to that effect at the time.

Just audible near Pittsburgh at 1500z.
Was much stronger 1/2 hour ago.
It sounded Asian to me.

Not necessarily -- I encountered a similar station on 18160 last weekend and reported it to Chuck Skloaut at the ARRL. #They are well aware of the 18160 interloper as well as ones on 20 meters and have been working with the FCC and agencies in other countries to get them to move out of the ham bands.

IIRC, people have been hearing this for a few months now. I am not sure what it is, but I have to listen out for it. I have never heard it myself.

yeppp...it's a Chinese BC station...has been reported to Intruder Watch for at least the last 3 months now...they moved from 14.310 a couple of weeks ago....it comes in at S9 here in New Mexico...DF has determined the location, but so far the Chinese Gov't has given very little help http://www.qrz.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/mad.gif http://www.qrz.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/mad.gif

maybe if enough hams complain to the Chinese Gov't we could get them to move to 14.275 MHz http://www.qrz.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif http://www.qrz.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif http://www.qrz.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif

Oh...great...then we'll have to put up with 'KFM's cries of 'China, the Fraudulent Crow!' in addition to all the caterwauling presently occupying the frequency... #http://www.qrz.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wow.gif

This is very well known as has been since the moment they intruded into the 20m ham band on 14.260.

They have indeed moved to 14.050, not much of an improvement.

Yeah, I hear 'em here in Fairbanks too....Strong at times from S5 to S9+10. Right on top of our main
CW traffic relay circuit with Spokane on 14050.

What a mess.

What can be done to get them the hell out of the
20 meter amateur band?http://www.qrz.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/rock.gif

Pretty much nothing. If you QRM them, you're really just helping them out. Perhaps the U.S. could ask the government of Taiwan to shift the freq of the station they are jamming so the FireDragon station can follow them?

Well, I can move...UFN if we cant work 14050 on the Washington-Alaska CW traffic circuit, alternate is 14055. if they follow us there, we'll move again.

Meanwhile I hope they blow their transmitter's finals.
