Haven't used it all. I mostly run PSK and RTTY.

I see, I like to try as many ways of communication as I can. How do you like PSK? I think the only reason people would use it is because it is similar to msn. lol

Yeah, I'm sort of a fan of YIM and AIM. YIM is better. I don't get into chat rooms or any of that. I just use it to keep in touch with family and friends.

So what you are saying is, that you will do it if you have to?

I did it for fun for a while, but actually, I don't even have a shack set up anymore. And I sold my Bencher.

still my main mode, i love it http://www.qrz.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif .... 17 yrs old here, i've met a few other youths completely randomly on cw as well....
CW is my favorite mode. I am 15 got my license in November 2004 and never thought I could learn CW. EASY!! I first started out by sending it via MixW software and I would receive it. I would often have QSO's by sending "canned" CW, so I could get the hang of it. Now that is the mode I operate most often. I operate about 25-30WPM and receive about the same. No more "canned" CW. During my last trip to C6-Bahamas I operated 70% CW and 29%Digi-Modes and than 1% SSB contacts. Many think it is complicated, but once you get the hang of it, its very fun and easy.

17 years old here. Just by looking at me, you would never guess I'm an amateur: football player build, dressed in AE, slight tan.
I received runner-up in GA section ARRL young ham of the year and my certificate stated in one part, "for his dedication to CW". I use it quite often, I run a 10 meter beacon, CW FISTS member. It's a great thing, sadly so many are afraid of it.

I am probably about 40% CW and 50% fone. I like CW better than fone but its easier to operate fone while filling out QSL cards.

I use CW and fone, 20%: 80% respectively. Im only learning CW, receive is being worked on- I'm at 8WPM and have reached what one might call a "Stumbling block".
Anything under 8WPM at the moment is fine, but a little trouble with anything over that
I operate CW a lot (and I am youth, under 13 youth). I have only made a couple QSO's though because everyone wants the 15 wpm instead if the 10 wpm. I also don't have the best antenna conditions but I have done some. So I guess "a lot" means "CQ CQ de kc0vvu".
hi hi. Anyway, I am working on it fellas.

I use CW very often. Mostly as practice with a local ham friend of mine. He wants to help his speed, and I want to get better at sending. We usually practice on 10m 2 or 3 times a week. I send around 10wpm and same for him according to his computer program. But generally it varies.
It sounds like me and KG4YUV fit the same profile, aside from I don't have the recognition he does. http://www.qrz.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif

Almost CW only here since 1998. Some SSB in contests in disguise, mostly at M/S or M/M stations.

I'm ready for any CW sked, at any speed you like. QRV on all HF bands with decent antennas and QRO.

I have worked lots of DX with as little power as 10mW (e.g. numerous US stations on 10m, during the sunspot maximum) and enjoy working with QRP, especially with homemade equipment. The other day I worked VR2 on 30m with 5W, using my Elecraft K2.
But in many cases a little more power is very helpful. Especially for CW-beginners, it just adds to the difficulcy of making the first CW QSOs, when the signal they have to copy is very weak.
I am neither one of those who always have the PA running, nor one of the QRP fanatics. I just use the power level which is needed to maintain comfortable communication.

i like QRP a lot, but not QRPP, just 5w or 10w.
at the moment i'm using a ts-120v (10w) on a tuned wire, at the school ham club i can work qro (up to a few kW if i want to). But QRP is just more fun.
it's more difficult, i don't make 30 qso's an hour, maybe 4 but that makes it more fun and special.

Gotta luv CW.
Just today called a VR2X/MM and found it was a 300 foot oil tanker entering Panama Cana. Nice QSO with Lieu the operator who's home port is Hong Kong.
Sure I operate CW

Been a CW op since I was 13. Too much noise and annoyance gets through the SSB filter for my taste. Only things getting through the 500Hz filter is CW and digital, and I type enough online.

I would like to share an e-mail I received today...
It began with them quoting the first few lines of my QRZ bio...
Quote[/b] ]the_federalist_1787 has invited you to join the NOCODEREQUIRED group!
"**Disclaimer: Let me start off by saying that I am a 17 year old Extra Class Operator. I'm 17, people. I'm Extra Class. That means I'm 17 and I passed code. (And really, I passed the code when I was 15) I use CW quite often in my operating. I don't want to hear any whining from the anti-code types. "
1. I am not opposed to manual Morse code operation CW. But Morse code CW is just another mode and should not be afforded any special priority over others. It is available to those who wish to use it. Morse CW proficiency should not be required for those who do not wish to use the mode.
2. CW Manual radiotelegraphy communications has been superceded by more modern, reliable, accurate, faster and efficient means of communication.
3. Requiring manual telegraphy CW proficiency is not compatible with the radio amateur's mandated objective of contributing to the advancement of the radio art.
4. No evidence exists that CW Morse proficiency is an indicator of a desirable, motivated or better qualified operator.
5. The Morse code CW requirement serves as an advancement barrier to many otherwise qualified individuals.
6. The value of CW Morse code communications in the Amateur Service is primarily recreational in nature and manual telegraphy proficiency should no longer be a compulsory licensing requirement for any class of Amateur Radio license.
7. The most challenging problem is our attitude towards newcomers and our focus on the mode of CW as the defining characteristic of Amateur Radio. If you do not operate the mode CW, or if you are not proficient with the CW mode, then you are not a real ham radio operator. This is our most challenging problem our attitude towards change. If we can overcome this hurdle, promoting Amateur Radio for the future is the easy part. (ARRL Past President, Rod Stafford, W6ROD, wrote of similar issues - I encourage you to read it.)
8. I do not have good ideas on how to change the CW mode attitudes. I wish I did because I believe the CW mode attitude is the Achilles Heel of the Amateur Radio Hobby.Changing our attitude towards change and new comers is a key part of growing Amateur radio in the future.
9. The U.S. Government is in violation of the Americans with Disabilities Act by not elimating a test which is no longer required under International treaty, and which discriminates against those with certain disabilities.
10. The FCC is going to remove the CW mode testing requirement for any class amateur radio license class soon. And I will be a 50 yr old extra with out code.
All the board members of No Code International are Extra class Amateurs also!
Why do they insist on bothering me??
Sounds like they copied verbatim from no-code international's website.
Be careful. There's a lot of propaganda out there.
