Man the amount of canadian stations i heard on feild day was pitaful, I think we should get out of our shacks and stop hanging around on the same goddamn repeaters, having alchohol induced diatribes about crooked politiions. this really pisses me off, i talked to more guys from WW and EW western and eastern washington than i did canadains. i am ashamed.

What you should be ashamed of is your foul language here. Your spelling could use some work too. #http://www.qrz.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/rock.gif

I think are club worked a decent amount, not that many though. Maybe they were chilling down in the U.S. CW portion, since they can use voice down there.

My language is pretty shameful, and to be honest I wrote this in a bit of a drunken fit, so spelling doesnt count pal. You should agree with me though, we are given the opportunity to talk to people worldwide, Why clog the repeaters up with discussions of web page design and extensive grounding systems. Why get your licence if that is your intent? Just buy a Citizens Band radio and get your 102'' whip out.

Drunken fit?
As this is a Youth Forum, what kind of example do you think that is to youngsters interested in amateur radio?
As far as what hams choose to discuss on the air, whether on a repeater or not, as long as it is not illegal or profane, what business is it of yours (or mine)?
Are you studying to become some type of "thought policeman"?
Our club had QSOs with a number of Canadian hams on Field Day. I am not surprised however, that a majority of Canadian hams may have been outdoors involved in #other activities such as fishing, swimming etc., which can only be enjoyed during the short Canadian summers. #
I am not a prude, and do not mean to pick on you personally, but hams and non - hams from around the world view these posts. Let's not give them the wrong impression of hams. # http://www.qrz.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif

Too other hams:
Well in all defense the drinking age in Alberta is 18 and drinking seems to be the passtime of youths out there. All we did over on the island here was smash up cars. http://www.qrz.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif
To ve6wtf:
Have you tried the Alberta net on 3740? I think they are on now? (18:39MST)
The BC net is on 3729 and they run 2kw often. This will start at 1930 MST and checkins from over the Rockies are speciafically called.
If it's cw your looking for I have sure heard alot of ve6 stations on 80m.
Forget 2m in Alberta. The repeaters or dead or populated by kerchunkers. I lived in Medicine Hat for close to two year or so and that got me out of the hobby for awhile.
Why not try 40m and 20m for the trans canada and ontario nets. (The ontario one is on 7055)
Now I will back out of here as im almost 10 years too old for the youth forum

I am not sure of the exact number, I believe it was in the mid 20s.
About the same as your XX.
Some day child, when you grow up, your XXXX will drop, your voice will change, and perhaps you will understand.
Vaya con Dios from south Texas.
